Cuba's first horror movie "Juan Of The Dead", looks like it's destined to become a serious zombie comedy classic. Writer/director Alejandro Bruges, got a Red Camera and then smuggled the various latex bodyparts in suitcases through customs to make this film.
When Havana is overrun by Zombies, it's hero Juan who decides to rid the island of zombies for a reasonable fee.
"It is a social comedy, it has a bit of everything. It has horror, it has action and it pretty much laughs in the face of problems." according to Bruges.
Expect Juan Of The Dead aka JUAN DE LOS MUERTOS to eventually make its way to the U.S. Until then you'll only get to feast on the trailer, which is better than a sharp stick through the brain.
Cubans versus zombies? I like it!
